Dr. Jean Boehler
Director, Arts in Mission – NY

Dr. Jean is an active musician, serving in a variety of roles as a music educator, choral director, church musician, and music editor. She founded Arts in Mission NY in 2010 and continues to serve as its director and head teacher. Dr. Boehler is the Cantor at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Bronx, where she serves as organist and directs choral and instrumental groups. She serves on the National Board for the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and is a Music Reviewer for the ALCM journal, Cross Accent. Dr. Boehler serves frequently as a clinician and workshop leader. Dr. Jean is certified in Orff, Kodaly, Dalcroze, and Musikgarten training. She is the recent recipient of the Musikgarten Achievement Award, demonstrating exceptional dedication in the field of music education. Dr. Boehler pursued her passion for school and church music at Concordia College, St. Paul, MN; Valparaiso University, IN; University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN; and University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI.
